Right there, just so you know.
If you guys came on here, I'm going to be answering more questions.
Green beans, steamed green beans.
They're still warm.
They just came out of the steamer.
I steam them soft.
That's just my preference.
I don't like them crunchy.
I like them soft.
They taste maple syrupy when they're softer.
There's something good about that.
I got lemons.
I got cilantro.
I got ginger here, too.
It's a nice piece.
You guys have ginger, right?
You always have ginger in the house, right?
You guys do that.
You can make ginger tea, the medical medium ginger tea, which I'm going to do here, too, sometimes.
Just not today, but I'm making my dinner no matter what.
I've got some oranges here, too.
I'm going to drop that just going around trying to be a show-off, throwing orange in the air.
Silly.
Kazzy says, on TikTok, just for you, M.M., I'm honored, truly.
You know what?
I say that.
I say that because, honestly, you're here.
It's incredible, and it means a lot.
the vertigo, rocking on a boat and vision changes.
Let's talk about that or relentless.
I want to talk about vertigo.
If you think it doesn't apply to you, it does, meaning you're having it, yes.
But if you're not having vertigo, if any of you guys out there,
there's 500, almost 600 people on here right now.
If many of you guys aren't having rocking on the boat feeling,
you're not having dizziness, you're not having vertigo, this still applies to you.
So you should pay attention to the information
because I want you to be able to protect yourself if it comes on later
because everybody eventually, most everybody in their lifetime gets hit with it.
They wake up one morning and they're like, wait a minute, what's going on?
And they're just, they can't even walk to the bathroom.
They think they had a stroke and now they're off at the emergency room with their first bout of vertigo.
But people who've had vertigo and they live with it and they live with their rocking on the boat sensations
and they live with their vertigo, they get used to it.
So they wake up one morning and they got vertigo and they're like, crap, I got vertigo again.
They're not going to run into the hospital.
They've already been there on their first time they had vertigo.
But this information applies to you.
Vertigo is this.
It's the vagus nerve.
And the vagus nerve can get out of whack because it gets inflamed.
And so when the vagus nerve gets inflamed, you get your vertigo.
And the vagus nerve can get inflamed all the way up into your brain.
And you can get the rocking on the boat.
You can get the head spins, the bed spins.
I call them bed spins.
You're laying in bed, and you're like, dear Lord.
You're like praying.
And then you're praying to God because if you even turn your head, you're going to be bending over the side and puking because the vertigo is so bad.
And a lot of people have that.
They have doubts of that, and it's brutal.
And if you're dealing with vertigo and you're dealing with it rocking the boat, that is the Epstein-Barr virus.
That is the Epstein-Barr virus.
It's one of the quintessential symptoms the common Epstein-Barr virus eventually causes in almost everybody.
So if you're 20 years old, you're having it, or you're 30, you're going to have it when you're 50, you're going to have it when you're 60, 70.
Someone's going to get it.
And that's when that virus, it releases enough neurotoxins.
All that neurotoxin, you've got that virus right there, okay?
That's the virus.
It's living in your liver.
It's moving around in your body.
Sometimes it goes into the spleen.
Sometimes you've got that Epstein-Barr.
Epstein-Barr, when it floats around the body, it does this.
It just, it rolls.
I mean, it moves.
That's how it actually moves.
And when that Epstein-Barr is doing this, and then when it finds food it likes, like mercury.
So see, you got some mercury.
And the Epstein-Barr comes rolling along, and it finds that mercury in the liver, starts to gobble it up.
Now that mercury is gone.
I showed you guys this yesterday.
And then comes out the neurotoxin, which is this green bean, right?
This green bean, you know, it's all that caffeine, right?
This green bean comes out, which is the neurotoxins, and then this green bean attaches to a nerve.
Darn it, that should have been the darn green bean, the nerve, okay?
The neurotoxins attach to the nerve, the vagus nerve.
And then that vagus nerve swells and swells.
And now you're just like, you're walking along and you almost go down.
Or you're laying in bed and your head's doing this.
It's brutal.
So this is medical medium information.
Virus information, medical medium information.
If you're new to medical medium, six New York Times bestselling books.
Millions of people deal around the world if you're new to the information.
And because this information's never been out there before in history,
It's out there now, and it's not cited back to medical medium.
People have taken, health professionals have taken so much of it,
and they pretend it's in a study that doesn't, but there's no study that has this information.
So this is MMInfo.
It's healed millions of people.
It's really important to know, and that's the only information I talk about.
So if you're here, that's where you are.
You're in the land of making sure it's not guessing games.
We don't do guessing games.
I just saw Alexandris.
He's here today.
It's amazing.
Ginger in the house, yeah.
So you want to go antiviral is what you want to do.
Antiviral is what we want to do.
Time water, medical medium time water.
Time tea, time water.
That alone is great for the Epstein bar.
Right there, right what's in my hand.
Boom, you got something.
Some ginger can be helpful too.
And you've got to get the metals out.
Make sure you've got a little cilantro.
Heavy metal detox smoothie, that's something there.
But, and you've got to do the celery juice.
All of that as well.
I got some lemon balm tea right here.
But to get vertigo better if it's not moving,
if you're rocking on the boat feeling is not budging,
look into the protocol for vertigo.
Take it to your doctor.
In the Medical Meeting Podcast,
you guys, listen to the Medical Meeting Podcast,
the neurological symptoms episode,
if you're dealing with any of that.
Vertigo, dizziness is neurological.
Really important to know.
You should listen to that episode.
So many tools there.
Meryl says your first book published in 2015 changed my life
my god incredible first book medical medium book
changed a lot of people's lives and I have one of you guys here incredible
I can't believe it amazing
hi Anthony so Jessica Caldwell hey Jessica thanks for being here I want to help
what's going on hi Anthony what are the top three liver
cleansing foods love these tiktoks so awesome
I think I'll give you the top five.
Maybe you got the frozen wild blueberries.
That's one right there.
There's so many, right?
Frozen wild blueberries.
That's a top healing cleansing food.
Asparagus.
Boom.
That's another one right there.
There's a lot of them.
Papaya.
That's a great one.
Let's keep on going a little bit.
Believe it or not, the Brussels sprouts.
That's a liver cleansing food too, right?
These are steamy, hot, and warm.
They just came out of the steamer.
I'm hungry.
I'm hungry.
And then I got the green beans.
That's a healing food, but not in the top cleansing the liver food.
But these Brussels sprouts, asparagus, that's one right there.
Heavy metal detox smoothie.
You can, the heavy metal detox smoothie is an incredible liver cleansing food.
Even though there's a bunch of them in there, you've got the spirulina, barley grass,
the frozen wild blueberries in there.
I mean, that's a powerful one all on its own.
You could pretend it's one.
Incredible. So many good things. And then leafy greens help in general.
Brianna. So Brianna says, Brianna Glass says, I'm struggling with tight chest and catching a next breath.
It comes back and goes away. You've been to the doctor, right?
You've been to all your medical professionals. You've been looking for help.
You've looked for answers for that and still struggling with it.
They checked out.
Everything's fine, right?
They did the whole thing.
That's what I'm assuming because you obviously must have seen your doctor with that.
And I would listen to the neurological symptoms episode and the anxiety episode on Medical
Mean Podcasts and Apple Podcasts, okay?
Those two things because there's so many tools in there so you can understand the tightness
of the chest.
You can understand how to get better, okay?
So that's one thing right there.
Vegas nerve.
So if that was happening to me, I would know, right?
Because it's happening to me.
And that's the Vegas nerve.
That's a nerve that runs through your head, down through your neck, right?
Goes through your neck down and goes through your neck down through your chest, okay?
Touches your stomach.
That's the vagus nerve, just so you know.
And that vagus nerve can get inflamed.
And even the phrenic nerves can get inflamed.
And when this happens, you get the tightness of the chest and you feel like you can't catch a breath.
And you feel like your diaphragm and everything can even, they can even swell enough so you feel like you're extended a little bit.
Your distension over here and up here feels like you got distension a little bit.
So you can even get that.
And if that was happening to me, I mean, I would know it's viral.
I would know there's a little bit of a viral thing going on.
Common virus for that's the Epstein-Barr.
It's just a common one for that.
Anything vagus nerve-related, phrenic nerve-related, causing that tightness of the chest, causing that anxiety.
Probably some toxic heavy metals in there, too.
It's the virus inflames the vagus nerve.
That's what happens.
So that's what the virus does.
It's a common virus.
Everybody's got it.
Guess what?
Everybody's got the Epstein-Barr.
Everybody gets symptoms along the way.
They get some no matter what.
But yeah, I would look at neurological symptoms too in here, right here.
It's the medical medium book.
You cleanse to heal.
I know there's no, you can't tell it's backwards, but cleanse to heal.
Neurological symptoms, that section.
Tightness of the chest is in there.
It's actually in there and it shows a protocol.
How cool is that?
So you guys are making food too.
So, got an onion right here.
Do you guys like onion?
Not everybody likes onion, you know.
Not everybody does.
I'm a big onion fan.
Really healing food for viruses, bacteria.
It's an antiviral food.
So, what I like doing is I like eating antiviral foods.
And that's an onion right there.
I just cut it.
It's a beauty.
Okay.
That's amazing.
I got butterleaf lettuce if you just came on here.
I'm making a Brussels sprout, steamed Brussels sprout salad.
I got some green beans.
I got thyme for the immune system.
Also for flavor.
I got lemons and oranges.
I got cilantro.
And I got ginger.
Just letting you know.
Making a little meal right here.
Yay, Desire says, yay, notifications are working.
Awesome.
Incredible.
Did you guys check out that video, the caffeine video, to take a look at it?
It's a fun one.
Liz says, what's the best way to store celery in the fridge?
Google says, wrap it in aluminum foil, dear Lord.
Well, that's the worst way to store celery in a fridge.
So, huh, that's funny, right?
That's a prime example of a source that's supposed to be all-knowing.
Google, right? It's supposed to be all-knowing.
But yet they gave the worst advice on the planet for taking care of celery in the fridge.
And it's just unbelievable.
So I wonder if Wikipedia did a worse job than that.
Wrap it in lead?
I wonder if Wikipedia said wrap it in lead, which is the worst advice ever.
I'm not recommending that.
But that's how ridiculous things are.
So what's the best way to store it?
Put it in a towel.
That's fine right there.
So let me grab one right here.
This is a damp, moist towel.
It's just a kitchen towel.
You can put all the celery in here.
Just wrap it up to like a roll and just put it in the fridge for the next morning.
Do it at night.
Have it in there.
Take it out of the towel and you got it.
Heck, you can leave it on your counter the night before in a towel rolled up on your counter.
In the morning, juice it and boom, open.
These are just simple ways.
keep that here in case I need that
because I'm going to be
cooking or chopping
BZ
I love mushrooms, portobello mushrooms
baby portobellos
you know I love mushrooms
mushrooms are fine
but if you're talking about medicinal mushrooms
I like chaga, I like reishi
I don't like all the medicinal mushrooms
I think we go too far
with that, I do
because, you know, people just like mushrooms
because they get into mushrooms.
They get into them when you get into them.
You end up liking them because you're getting into them.
And, you know, because mushrooms, you know,
there's something mysterious about them.
There's something really unique about them.
There's something magical about them.
But honestly, I know all about the mushrooms.
Spirit of Compassion taught me how to mushroom hunt
when I was a child.
I would go into the woods at eight years old,
nine years old, ten years old.
Spirit of Compassion would say,
that mushroom's edible.
That mushroom will kill you.
That mushroom will burn your tongue off.
That mushroom will give you a stomachache for the next two months.
That mushroom will burn your nose off.
Like, you know, a spiritual fashion would tell me what was going on with the mushrooms.
That one you can eat.
That one you can't.
So that would happen all the time.
There's weight loss protocols in Cleanse to Heal, by the way.
So I just looked there.
The Michelle Clayton.
I'm glad you're on here, by the way, Michelle.
Thank you for being here today.
Top weight loss protocol.
So much weight loss information in here.
You can do the advanced cleanse, the advanced 369 cleanse in here.
You know, get the book of the library.
Hopefully your library stocks it.
The advanced 369 cleanse.
Get it free or go to Amazon.com.
Get it.
It's on sale 51% off.
But this book is a medical textbook.
It's packed with information, the most advanced.
And, you guys, it's like, honestly, the book is just jam-packed with that kind of information.
You can do the mono cleanse.
You can do the 369 advanced cleanse, lose the weight.
You could really learn how to do it.
You could bring in the celery juice, all of it.
It's about cleaning the liver.
So let's talk about this.
Why would weight come on?
Why do we get heavy?
Why do we get that unwanted pounds?
How come it comes on?
Even if there's people that exercise, they're in the gym, they're trying to work it off.
They're doing everything they can to work it off and they can't get it off.
Why is it hard to get the weight off?
because the liver is a fatty liver,
even if it's not diagnosed as a fatty liver,
even if it's not on the radar of your physician
that it's a fatty liver.
You have this pre-fatty liver,
and the pre-fatty liver is why we gain all this weight.
It gets stagnant.
It gets sluggish.
It gets stuck.
It gets lazy.
It gets tired.
Thank you.
radical fats will then really put the weight on because your liver can't handle the radical fats
anymore. So your liver can't handle it. So what are radical fats, right? All foods that are high
in fat. That's if you want to talk about plant-based, that's avocado, that's nuts and seeds,
that's oils, that's coconut, that's nut butters, right? That's the plant-based version of radical
fats. Animal protein version is fish, chicken, turkey, lamb, meat, all of it. That also is
loaded with fat. Now, there's nothing wrong with eating both of these, both on each side, right?
And then there's the radical fats that aren't good to eat. Milk, cheese, butter. Milk, cheese,
butter, eggs. Those are the radical fats not good to eat, right? But see, you want to have your
turkey. Okay. So Thanksgiving's coming, right? So you want to have your turkey. So you have some
turkey. Well, that's radical fat. Fine. You're having your turkey. Cool. But you know, but yeah,
if the liver's stagnant and sluggish, the weight's going to come on, but you shouldn't. I'm not
trying to tell you don't have your turkey. I'm not trying to tell you don't have good Thanksgiving
or fun, whatever it is and all that. You can't just, just get on that medical meeting, three,
six, nine or morning cleanse the next day or next week or long after Thanksgiving or
the new year or whatever.
And, and get on, get on the protocols and fix the liver.
You fix the liver.
You can start being like that person that eats whatever they want.
They can eat anything.
Order me a pizza, man.
Get the pizza delivery here.
The pizza comes and you gobble down a whole pie and you don't put any weight on.
You could be one of those people.
but even those people max out their liver later and their liver just gets all maxed out and all
that weight comes on you know so but here's the other thing if you're if you're afraid well where
am i going to get my healthy fat where's it going to come from how am i going to do this how am i
going to be off all those nut butters and oils how am i going to be off of all that you know all
you know how am i going to reduce my turkey chicken meat how am i going to get rid of my pork
How am I going to do that?
And I'm not telling you you have to stop your animal proteins.
I'm not telling you you have to stop your plant fats if you're plant-based.
I support both sides of the aisle.
But what I'm saying is, if you're worried about a healthy fat, it's in these foods.
Butterleaf lettuce has omega-3s in it.
It's in there.
Yeah, it's not like ladled in it, but it's in there, right?
There's fat in the green beans.
All the little green beans, the beans in the green, this little green, little things that embody it, the outside shell, right?
Well, all those little beans inside here, they got omega-3s in them.
So, right?
Potatoes have a little bit of omega-3.
Yeah, omega-3.
Exactly.
There's fats in there.
There's fats in leafy greens.
There's fats in these Brussels sprouts, right?
But they're not, it's not like radical fat, like avocado or anything like that.
But there's fat in all these foods.
All fruits and vegetables have fat in them.
To a degree, blackberries have omega-3s in them.
Yeah.
So you're not going to be without those omega-3s.
You're going to get them from all kinds of sources in small amounts.
But you're going to get them.
But it gives you a chance to go fat-free for a little while.
And look, I love avocado.
Yeah, avocado is a great food.
I love coconut.
I love tahini.
All right?
I love hemp seeds.
I love pumpkin seeds.
I love sunflower seeds, right?
You know, I like the fats that are out there.
I tell people they can eat fish.
I tell people if they really want to eat some animal proteins, they can eat animal proteins.
But what I'm saying is, if you're sick, you're struggling, if your weight's not good, that weight is cranking, you've got weight problems left and right, whatever it is, we've got to back down those radical fats a little bit.
I'm not trying to ruin your day.
just come back them down a little bit so then i can get your liver better your liver just gets a
little better and all of a sudden you're like whoa wait a minute i'm doing my celery juice in the
morning i'm juicing she's got your celery juice i'm drinking that every morning i'm flushing my
cleaning up my liver i'm getting better i lowered my fats a little bit i only had avocado yesterday
i only had some hemp seeds next day i only had a little bit of turkey the next day i only had a
little bit of salmon the next day. Next thing you know it, you're eating all these other vegetables
and you got fruits in here. And guess what? Your weight's going. Your weight's going because
now you're exercising and your weight's going. Jillian, will cilantro always taste like soap to
me? Yeah, yeah, I know. Sometimes it can taste a little funny to some people. I totally get it.
and it might have a strange flavor like that, but can you still eat it? Are you okay with taste
if it tastes a little soapy? Are you okay with that? Because if you're okay with that, don't
like not eat it. Make sure you have it. Absolutely. It's so good for you. It's great.
And here's the thing. Taste buds are funny. Taste buds change when you get the gunk out.
When you get the toxic heavy metals out of your liver and out of your body,
when you get viral issues and bacteria out of your body, when you get plastics, petrochemicals,
household cleaners, fungicides, pesticides, herbicides out of your body, when you get gasoline
that's in your liver and old pharmaceuticals, old antibiotics, old benzos, old anything,
old pharma of all kinds, when you get that out of the body, all of a sudden, right,
your taste buds change.
And things don't taste funny.
Something might taste like soap for the moment
and not taste like that later.
You guys, please share this live.
We're answering lots of questions.
I love these TikTok lives.
I'm covering questions each time.
Everybody that's here now
should be on the next one tomorrow too.
But we're not done.
We've got a lot to do.
I'm going to make a little food too
while we're talking.
Just grabbing a little knife over here.
Run in my sink for a second.
cleaning off this little knife. I'm going to peel back a little bit of ginger. If you're making it
for soups, you don't have to peel it back. I, you know, you know, I peel it back. That's just my
preference. Sleep apnea. You guys all sleeping good? Is everybody sleeping good there or what's
going on? So, uh, sleep apnea. There's two kinds of sleep apnea. I'll give you guys a rundown.
This is, this is important. You guys got your notepads and stuff. Um, so one type of sleep
apnea is neurological. That's the one where they don't know. No one knows. You can go and get
sleep tested in different ways. You can go and put all those diodes on you. You can hop in a
comfy bed. I don't know if you guys ever did that. There's a physician or a tech aide or something
behind the glass door there, the glass window. They're watching you sleep. You got a machine
on your head, you know, right? And you don't know why you got the sleep apnea, right? And then you
do, you know, you do techniques for it. You do the air machines, blowing air in your face all night
long, right? You do those. Okay. Well, what happens is that, um, there's two kinds of sleep apnea.
One is if you get so swollen with mucus, so swollen and so inflamed and swollen that it puts
pressure everywhere. So when you lay in bed, like say you have a little extra weight on you,
you're just, you're swelling in general, you got a little lymphedema and no one really knows it.
They don't know that you're holding all this water. And then say you got a lot of mucus in
you, you've got some different bacteria in your body and low grade viruses and you're just very
mucusy and you're eating dairy products and cheese and you're drinking a little cream or milk or you
got that going on or you're eating eggs or whatever it is and you're just getting mucusy, you're getting
a little swollen. People walk around swollen all day long. And then you're, you know, you try to
go to sleep and you seem to be just not able to breathe. You're kind of choking yourself back up,
waking yourself up. And it's like, whoa, that's some crappy sleep apnea right there. You're really,
you're really struggling. And you let's stick a wind machine on your head and strap it to your
head so that you can breathe all night long. And that's one type of sleep apnea. Okay.
And that could get better.
I can't tell you how many people I got better with that type of sleep apnea over the years.
I cleaned up their liver, cleaned up their diet, got the mucus out, got their water out.
Boom, no sleep apnea anymore.
They were able to throw away their machines, right?
And then there's the other kind of sleep apnea, okay?
I'm peeling some ginger right now.
I'm making some food if you just guys got on.
Brussels sprouts out, some green beans, cilantro, some celery hearts, and some other stuff, too.
It's going to be great.
Here's the butterleaf lettuce.
and then say you got the other kind of sleep apnea right the other kind is neurological
something's happening with the wires your wires are crossing right up inside your brain
why are they crossing that sleep apnea there that's toxic heavy metals people just don't know
they don't know doctors don't know physicians don't know but i love how some of these
some of these podcast doctors now out there, podcast doctors,
they take medical medium information.
They never talked about any of this stuff ever,
like they knew anything about metals or anything else, okay?
I wish I could name the names.
I'm just not that kind of guy.
And, but, you know, they're on the podcast list, though, right?
But what they do is they just talk about food sciences.
That's how they got in their door.
They did conventional, regular medicine.
and they spouted out some food science.
They went on some doctor's show or whatever,
and they busted into the career zone.
They put out some books.
And now they never talk about any of that.
But now they take medical medium information
and act like they know a lot about mercury.
They act like they know a lot about aluminum or mercury and metals.
Because the reason why is because the medical medium books woke everybody up.
So millions of medical medium books about toxic heavy metals
have gone around the world and woke everybody up.
And they want to be hit.
They want to keep up with the medical medium.
So then these podcast doctors talk about metals as if they know anything about it.
And it's laughable when you think about it.
But what happens is that what no one realizes is that sleep apnea, that's a result of mercury.
That's the mercury result.
That's mercury inside the brain.
And what happens is your electrical impulses are firing around your brain,
and they hit little tiny deposits of mercury.
and when they're doing that while you're falling asleep because your electricity changes right when
you're falling asleep when you're falling asleep you're going to get those jerks a lot of people
get the jerks and it wakes them right up and they call that a sleep apnea too where all of a sudden
your arm jerks and you're falling asleep and your arm or your leg jerks and it's just like boom and
your leg jerks like boom right and you're falling asleep and you're just like moving around okay
that's one thing that happens when those when the electricity is hitting these little mercury
deposits it's one type of sleep apnea the other type of neurological kind is you just kind of like
choke and you're hanging over the side of the bed but you're not choking and you're just waking up
that's another kind there's a whole bunch of different varieties of it right and that's
electrical impulses all swimming around on neurons and hitting different deposits of mercury because
your electricity changes when you're starting to fall asleep versus staying up it could happen on
a nap too could happen in sleep apnea neurological sleep apnea it can happen on it's about getting
the metals out. It could happen on the couch when you're taking a nap. You guys, it's so glad you're
here. I'm excited. I got some ginger here. I'm going to cut some ginger, put this knife over
here. So first thing you want to do is you want to work on healing it. You want to get the toxic
heavy metals out. That's the heavy metal detox movie. So if you want to get rid of your sleep
apnea, that's one way of doing it right there. So the details matter. The details matter. It's not
just about getting metals out with this little spray or this whatever. The details matter to get
the stuff out. The heavy metal detox smoothie is the frozen wild blueberries, the cilantro,
the right kind of spirulina, the right kind of barley grass juice powder. You guys know I use
the Vimergy. It's this brand right here. That's the one, that's the B12 right there. It's that
company here. It's Vimergy. It's V as in Victor. If you got a pen, it's V as in Victor. I, M as in
Mary, E-R-G-Y. That's the kind of, that's the products I use. I'm not sponsored and I don't
own the company. Okay. Very important to know. I'm not sponsored by all the supplement companies I
recommend. Very important to know. Okay. So it's five ingredients to get those metals out, which
is critical, you guys. Critical. I mean, you go to Vimergy.com. You can go or my directory on my
medium.com. But, you know, but it's about getting those metals out, the five ingredients,
critical to get those out of your brain, critical to get the sleep apnea better, all of that. If
you guys just came on here, I'm making butter leaf salad. Look at this butter leaf. I mean,
I don't know if you could see that. Can you guys see that right there? It's beautiful butter leaf.
I mean, this is gorgeous. Seriously, this is amazing stuff. I got some Brussels sprouts right
here. Can you see that right there? These are steamed, just steamed. They're still warm,
delicious. I'm just letting you know. Just so you know, the heavy metal detox movie,
long term, is incredible. In my personal experience from what I've seen all these
years, 35 years of helping people, ADHD, autism, depersonalization, depression, anxiety. I mean,
And, well, some bipolar, schizophrenia.
I've seen it bring people back, you know.
But that's the Brussels sprouts that are going to go in the salad right there.
Gorgeous.
These are some green beans right here, you guys.
I like them soft.
I steamed them soft.
That's what I did, okay.
I like them soft.
They have a maple syrupy flavor when you steam them really soft.
And look, you can learn more about the heavy metal detox cleanse and cleanse to heal.
Get the book free at the library if you want.
I'm all about free stuff.
If you want to get it on Amazon, you can.
You can go to Amazon.com.
Buy it for like $16.
It's a medical textbook.
It costs more to print that thing than what it's on sale for.
It's incredible, which I really love.
I love that kind of thing.
You guys know how I am.
I've got some cilantro here.
I've got an onion.
I'm going to chop this onion up.
I want to answer questions.
I'm glad we're all here together.
Have you checked out the new TikTok video that I put out?
By the way, you guys, I got no marketing company behind me, no PR firm behind me company.
I've been offered every deal under the sun.
I've been offered every TV deal, every series deal, every docuseries, documentary deal.
Someday I might do something, but I haven't.
I'm all about just making sure I serve you guys.
I wish I could just give you this food right now.
That's what I wish.
I wish I could just hand you over a plate of this food is what I want to do.
You know?
Let's see.
Please, how can I hear spirit clearly like you?
It's the one thing I want to do with my life.
Well, I don't want to hear spirit anymore.
I can tell you that.
There's moments in my life where I'm like,
I don't want to hear spirit of compassion because
I've been worked to the bone.
But you know what?
And I got these certain rules, you know, that occurs from it where it's, you got to not think about yourself.
I got to think, I can't just go and start doing the selfies and start working out in the gym and being like,
yeah, man, I got my selfies here.
And, you know, I'm like, and just think about myself and all that.
You know, a lot of guy influencers do that.
Look, if you're doing that, you got my support.
It's no big deal.
In fact, I'm jealous.
So the thing is, is that, you know, I've made it about you guys my whole life.
I've always made it about you guys.
And I've had it because of hearing spirit of compassion.
And I've gotten used to it.
And I love it.
And I love it.
But there's days where I'm like, oh, my God, I got to hear spirit again.
What else is spirit going to say?
What else is, you know, and it's exhausting.
So, I wouldn't wish this on anybody is what I'm trying to say.
But look, your intuition, use your intuition.
Get it strong.
And yeah, I mean, talk to the angels.
You know, connect to the angels.
You know, anything like that.
And look, here's what happens with me with spirit of compassion.
Just so you know how my gift works or the gift that's really for everyone else.
It's not for me.
Since the age four, I hear a voice perfectly clear.
in my ear, in my right ear, even though I can hear some in my left ear, okay?
And that voice is in real time, just like you hear me now.
So you hear me talking now.
Clear, right?
Well, I hear it in real time the same on the outside of the ear.
I can't hear anything inside.
So it's not my intuition I'm using.
It's not something else.
I'm not channeling anything either.
I'm hearing it from the outside.
That's how the gift works.
That means that I can block it like this.
But you can still hear a little bit of it.
You can't just walk around with your hand on your ear all day,
but you can still hear it a little bit.
That's the gift.
Now, if some of you guys are new to this and new to how it works with me,
you might be like, oh, wow, what?
You know, but just know that it has saved a lot of lives.
It's been proven.
The street cred is there.
It's been proven.
It has saved a lot of lives.
I'm chopping up the butter leaf lettuce, by the way, just a little bit.
and the information in the books have saved millions around the planet in almost every country now.
So the information, it works.
It works.
But it's a daunting, exhausting experience in this lifetime.
Tires me out.
Okay, so, Jeremy, can we have plant-based butters?
Yeah, avocado.
Use avocado as your butter if you're going to use that.
But, look, it depends.
Are you sick?
Are you not?
You know, I wouldn't use plant-based butters.
No.
All the plant-based butters, I say no.
If they're a butter made, like it's in a container,
Someone was being smart.
I'm going to make a plant-based butter and sell it.
And it's there to sell to people, right?
No.
Don't do those butters.
What you do is you grab an avocado, okay, and you crack it open.
That's your butter if you want.
That's your butter.
Get a little tahini.
You know what I do when I buy a tahini?
The tahini settles to the bottom, and then you'll see oil on the top, right?
I dump that part out.
that top oil layer,
I dump that part out.
And then I mix the sesame tahini down in there.
I just got rid of half the fat in the tahini jar.
So that's what I do, right?
And in avocado,
you make the avocado as butter.
When people do avocado toast, whatever,
that's your butter on your nose.
That's how you do it.
That's the best way to do it.
But yeah, you can have avocado.
Yeah, you can have fats.
But if you're working on your healing process,
if you've got something that's driving you crazy and you don't feel good, okay?
And, you know, here's the thing.
So many people use those butters, not like just straight avocado.
They actually use the butters that are pre-made and they're in containers or whatever and selling.
People use those butters and they wonder why they're not getting better.
It's like, I tried medical medium information.
It didn't help me.
Meanwhile, they're on nutritional yeast.
They're on these butters.
They're on, you know, plant-based butters.
They're on oils.
They're on charcoal.
They're on collagen.
They're on things that just make you sicker.
They're on caffeine.
They're eating chocolate.
They're doing apple cider vinegar.
And then they ruin my reputation.
They go on social media, IG.
I did medical medium information.
It didn't work for me.
Do what's right for you.
You should try.
Everybody's different.
Try something.
That's what they do.
And they'll put a post out.
And they'll be like, try.
There's other information out there that's not medical medium.
He doesn't have all the answers.
Go try something else.
You know, you have the great way to send a super sick person on a journey of hell,
trying to find answers and getting swimming in a whole bunch of guessing games and they don't get better.
Great way to ruin somebody's life when medical media information is the only stuff that got back more people's lives than anybody else's out there.
It's just crazy.
So, you know, it's funny.
It's like when you think about it.
So these people are like out there.
They'll do a post.
What medical medium protocol did they do?
They're doing nutritional yeast, apple cider vinegar.
They're dumping in collagen in their celery juice.
They're doing all that.
And then meanwhile, like I said, they'll try to catch me a bad rap.
Be like, oh, he didn't get me better.
You know?
They'll put charcoal in stuff.
Don't mix anything in your celery juice, whatever you do.
Because guess what?
You don't get better.
You don't get better if you mix stuff in your celery juice.
You don't get better.
Not even lemon.
You put lemon in your celery juice, you ain't getting better if you're really sick.
Yeah.
Chopping up some butter leaf lettuce right here.
I'm actually chopping it up.
Katie.
Katie Dawson.
Good to see you.
MM has helped me with my RA.
Amazing.
Incredible.
That's so great.
That's just such good news.
So that's how it works, you guys.
I'm going to chop up some cilantro before I chop up the thyme.
and social media is this kind of wicked thing where, you know,
you can just, you can rain on someone's, you know, life with it
because you can just be like, you can be doing crap all ass backwards, okay?
And then go and put a post out.
Oh, yeah, I tried that.
Meanwhile, you go back in your post, person's post,
and they're putting more things in them.
They're on all this chocolate, caffeine.
Their neurological system is getting burnt out by caffeine.
It's crazy.
Why no apple cider vinegar?
Medical medium podcast at Apple Podcasts.
After this live today, I'm making food still and I want to answer questions.
You guys all should go to the medical medium podcast.
Go through the 17 episodes, the five meditations.
One is apple cider vinegar.
I have an episode on apple cider vinegar.
I have an apple-sode on apple cider vinegar.
You know?
I'm getting some ginger in here, mixing ginger up.
I've got the cilantro in here, just showing you guys.
I'm making a Brussels sprout, steamed Brussels sprout salad.
These are still warm, which is awesome, awesome.
I just threw in cilantro chopped up.
Now I've got thyme right here.
So with thyme, I'm just going to kind of strip some of the thyme off,
and I'm just going to strip it off and put it in the salad.
You can chop it, too.
you can chop the time.
I think I'm going to chop it.
I'm going to do that.
Doing some chopping some time
and I'm going to answer more questions, you guys.
I'm here.
Look, if you're sensitive
to the heavy metal detox smoothie,
if you're sensitive to celery juice,
if you feel like you react to
if you feel like you react to
barley grass juice powder,
anything like that or spirulina or anything.
Just do less.
Do less because that stuff is getting the metals out.
It's helping to heal the nervous system is what it's doing.
Okay?
I'm chopping up some time right here, you guys.
You guys, I got to tell you something.
I'm honored you're in my kitchen with me.
Okay?
I just want you to know when you're too sensitive, which is fine,
when you're sensitive and you can't handle like the heavy metal detox movie
or you can't a large amount of it you go down less you can't handle a lot of celery juice you
go down less it means you have pathogens it means you got like the viral issues the low grade viral
issues now it it's like okay people are sick out there and they get sick and they get sick and
they don't want to know they got any little buggies in them everybody's got bugs in them
newsflash to everybody out there in the world everybody's got three four different kinds of
strep. They got staph in them. They got bad bacteria in them. They got viruses. They got
cytomegavirus. They got HPV in them. They got all kinds of bugs. Everybody just has bugs. But what
happens is when you have some of these different kinds of bugs, they make you sensitive and they
keep you fatigued, the chronic fatigue syndrome and the fibromyalgia and all that stuff. You can
get better and kill off these bugs, get the metals out, but you might be sensitive while you're
doing it. And that's okay. That's okay. Do a little bit at a time. A little bit at a
time. I'm chopping up some time really fine right here. Orchid says, what if you're suffering
with histamine issues? Got to clean up the liver. Got to clean up the liver with the
histamines. That means there's some little buggies inside the liver. You can tell your
doctor about it so they know too. There's little buggies inside the liver nobody knows about.
You're going to clean them up, get the liver a little better, have it less stagnant, have it
less sluggish. I'm just chopping some time up, you guys. I like it nice and small, nice and fine.
So good for you.
Looking at questions too. Putting some time in here.
Guys, I have to grab a hot pepper.
Just hang on a sec.
Okay.
Got this little hot pepper right there.
I want to throw that on top of the salad.
Sorry I left.
I really feel bad about that.
I'm going to chop up a little onion first,
but I'm going to do the hot pepper.
So guys, I'm reading questions.
I'm going to do that a little bit.
Putting some onion in here too as well.
So mono-eating protocols help with reactions.
So when you're dealing with histamines,
when you're dealing with any kind of histamine stuff,
mono-eating cleanses.
So I want to talk about the histamines a little bit.
what happens is with the histamines okay the histamines can get out of control because
we have all these poisons and toxins floating around we have antibiotics still in our liver
we have plastics in our liver we have petrochemicals we have pesticides herbicides
fungicides rodenticides we got dbt in our liver we have toxic metals mercury aluminum copper lead
arsenic cadmium nickel in our liver we have all these things in our liver okay so when we build
up too many of these toxins and then we have low-grade viruses hpv we get simplex cold sore
viruses inside our liver we get epstein bars inside our liver shingles inside our liver everything
just loves to live in our liver right that's the filter for everything and then all this stuff
floats around in our body and where histamines go boop through the roof that's how it works
so like the monolating cleanse is a good way of helping with that so i mean
so um
so yeah
I want to answer questions you guys
I'm excited
so throwing some onion in here real quick
so just want to give you a rundown the salads coming together and i'm going to put some brussels
sprouts on here this is my dinner tonight and i got some green beans and stuff so but i'm gonna
chop up a little celery. So I save these celery hearts because I like to put them in the dish.
So I just like to chop them up a little bit.
Get a little of that celery in there. My eyes are watering from the onion.
is it possible to get a mono infection
while cleansing?
That means the infection was already there.
Just keep that in mind.
That means it was already there.
It was on its way.
If there's a mono infection happening,
it was on its way.
That's how it works.
If you didn't do the cleansing,
it was coming.
It was on its way.
You can have a million people doing a cleanse
and a whole bunch of those people
out of the million people
already got something coming
and it's on its way.
It's just the odds.
And while that million people
are doing the cleanse,
I've seen this at,
I've seen this at spiritual retreats.
People are at spiritual retreats.
They're all doing
their spiritual cleansing at retreats.
And then someone comes down
with something.
They were already coming down
with something.
They come down with some strep throat
at a spiritual retreat
and they're like swollen in their throat.
They got a fever.
And everybody in the spiritual retreat's like,
whoa, that's because
you were spiritually cleansing
and that must have happened.
No.
That stuff was happening.
That was going to happen that week anyway, or a week later, or whatever.
You guys, you can, with Brussels sprouts, I like to chop them in half.
And another thing, if we're in different relationships,
three years ago we could be in a relationship, pick up a new Epstein bar,
it's sitting in us, and we'll get a new bat of mono three years later.
It's just how it works, it's life.
Everybody's passing bugs around, it's normal.
Epstein bars are everywhere.
You get them on toilet seats.
You get strep on toilet seats.
I'm cutting the Brussels sprouts in half.
That's what I'm doing.
They're really soft.
Got some Brussels sprouts steamed right there.
So, Lynn says I have chronic fatigue extremely bad and I'm only 38.
What can I do?
You've been to your doctor.
They don't know anything.
They don't know what's causing it.
What did they say?
And look, I have doctors talk to me all this time.
They have patients come with lots of chronic fatigue.
And what happens is, I talk to doctors every single day.
They say, what do you think it is?
And chronic fatigue syndrome, and I published it years ago,
that chronic fatigue syndrome is caused by the Epstein-Barr.
So unless your adrenals are just burnt,
If your adrenals are just burnt, then that's another story.
But people with Epstein-Barr also have weak adrenals too.
You can have a combination of some adrenal stuff going on,
and you have the viral issue right there.
So, I mean, if I had that kind of chronic fatigue,
if I woke up one morning and I was like, whoa, I'm struggling.
It's why I came up with the term neurological fatigue.
Neurological fatigue is that fatigue where your legs feel like lead.
They feel like sandbags and you can't even walk.
You feel like you've got cement bags attached to your feet.
And you feel like you've got weights in your arms.
And you can barely function.
You're just skating by and barely functioning.
And with that there, that's, you know, or you're so fatigued,
you just got to lay down on the couch.
And that's where you got to be.
You're on the couch the whole time.
so far it's coming together
some Brussels sprouts
on top of butter leaf lettuce
you got cilantro in there
you got onions in there
you got thyme
I got ginger in here
this is going to taste really good
I mean you guys might not like
what I'm making
some people don't
some people might be like
oh that's not for me
I'm just
I'm still
working on the Brussels sprouts
a little bit
they're nice and soft
I steam them soft you guys
that's what I love
so
what I would do
if I had that kind of fatigue
I would look into this book.
You can take it to your doctor.
Look in the chronic fatigue syndrome section.
And then you see a protocol in there.
You see things in there.
I mean, you see zinc.
I take this zinc every day.
This is the Vimergy zinc.
So V as in Victor, I, M as in Mary, E-R-G-Y.
This is the zinc I take.
And zinc is a really important key factor
to eventually someday down the road
not having fatigue
because when you're dealing with low-grade viral issues
and stuff like that,
and you've got the neurological fatigue,
that's one of the things that's really important.
That's one thing there.
You can bring the book to the doctor,
have them go through the protocol with you,
and light bulbs will start going off for him or her,
and you can get some help.
That's what you can do.
You know, I have a friend that has severe chronic fatigue,
and finally,
finally she's working on
the medical meeting protocol
because she felt great
until she got the fatigue.
And she's like, wait a minute,
am I just tired?
I'm like, no.
No, we're not just tired.
She's starting to get better.
Still cooking, you guys.
Still putting some together.
I'm going to put some green beans on here.
So I got some green beans.
That's these.
I steamed up really soft.
They taste like maple syrup when they're really soft.
Marissa says,
Hi, Andy, you're my hero.
I can't believe it.
I'm honored.
I really am.
Liz loves learning.
Hey, you're here today.
Thank you for the fruit picking meditation.
I did it this morning.
Incredible.
Incredible.
That's amazing.
I'm going to put lemon.
On this salad.
What's I'm going to do?
I still have to put hot pepper on it.
You guys, I love having you in my kitchen every day.
This is insane.
It's really incredible.
Some more lemon on here.
The lies are great.
Find them very valuable.
Thank you.
You know, that means a lot to me because I'm glad you guys are okay with them.
I wasn't sure, you know, if you guys would be all right with them.
What kind of steamer do I use?
I don't even know.
I've had it forever.
I've got to look and see what the brand is.
Next time I'll talk about that.
That orange.
I like a little bit of orange in here.
It kind of kicks down the heat from that pepper, which is good.
So I put a little bit of orange juice on here.
I like that because this pepper right here is freaking hot.
Do I put anything on my salad?
You're seeing it right now.
I'll run you down on the ingredients there.
So I'm going to chop up some of this hot pepper real quick.
I don't put oil on my salad, you guys.
I put lemon, oranges on my salads.
I don't put oil on.
But, you know, look, that's just me, right?
and I'm putting this hot pepper on.
I'm going to rinse my finger real quick right here in the sink
because I'm going to end up rubbing my eye with that hot pepper
because I'm so busy with so much going on,
I'll just forget and stick my finger in my eye
and then I'll be crying later.
so it's the butterleaf lettuce the cilantro the chopped up celery hearts
brussels sprouts green beans got the red pepper on there right there i squeezed lemon squeezed
orange in here um i got a little onion too this is an insane delicious tasting meal i love it
just letting you guys know that's what i'm having for dinner tonight you know when we're done
talking and I, and, and get answered a couple more questions. Sharon says, salt makes my
dizziness worse, even tiny amounts. Why? I am fat. Why? Question mark. I am fat free.
Um, if you're sensitive and you're dealing with dizziness while you're trying to heal
any kind of nerve inflammation, salt dehydrates us. So it dehydrates the nerves. It's, it's,
It's one of those things where, so celery juice is different.
That's not that hardcore salt.
Celery juice is a different kind of salt.
It's sodium cluster salts.
It's a trace minerals.
It's basically an entirely different makeup, entirely different element, right?
That right there.
But salt, like sea salt, rock salt, any kind of salt, any kind of high quality salt still dehydrates the nerves.
So it moves water around.
and it even takes water away from nerves or puts water pressure on nerves.
It can do anything.
So you can get really weird with it.
That's what happens.
So I would kind of hold that off.
It kind of can put you over the edge, you know,
if you're already battling some other stuff.
It can put you over the edge.
That's all.
You know what?
When you get better, better, and you keep on healing,
and you keep on getting better, better,
next thing you know, I know people couldn't handle a sprinkle of salt.
They're better now.
I've known people 20 years ago doing medical media information.
They were so sick they were better at it.
You know, that's the thing, you guys.
People don't realize this.
I didn't start this yesterday.
I'm talking 30-plus years, I mean, helping people out, getting their lives back.
And people have come to me when they were 30 years old 30 years ago.
Guess what?
They're 60 now.
People have come to me when they were 50 years old 30 years ago, and they're 80 now and living their lives.
And it's just, you know, it's amazing, really.
This is a question here.
Samia, I did the 369 cleanse and eat lots of plant-based MM protocol.
Still can't lose 10 pounds.
Are you doing the advanced 369?
That's important to know.
Is it the advanced 369?
And do it consistently.
Do the advanced 369 consistently and don't bring any fats in.
Don't bring them in.
And that's what I would do, okay?
And I talk about it in the book in detail.
So take a look at the book.
So make sure and do the advanced 369, keep the fats out.
And that's one thing right there just to start with, okay?
It means your liver's really sluggish and really stagnant.
You can do it.
You can get rid of the weight, absolutely.
And there's even some supplementation recommendations in there too
to knock down anything going on in the liver like pathogens and stuff.
You can get the weight down.
And that's a really good question.
Nini?
I think it's Nini because my salad's blocking.
Nini Marie?
So, can spirulina aggravate Hashimoto's?
No, it can't.
It can't.
Because, okay, here's the question, right?
If science and research and medical communities don't know the cause of Hashimoto's,
Hmm.
Why are they the expert at what can help it or what's good or bad for it?
They tell you to eat eggs.
So you can go to an endocrinologist and they'll say,
make sure you get your protein and eat lots of eggs.
And guess what?
Eggs will feed the very virus that they don't know about that causes Hashimoto's.
They'll actually tell you to eat something that will make your Hashimoto's worse and worse and worse and worse.
And then they'll tell you some stuff that is ridiculous,
like, oh, a rumor somewhere out there in theory land, because there's no science that proves it.
There's no science study that proves that spirulina is bad for Hashimoto's.
It doesn't exist.
So where did it come from?
It came from somebody saying it because they had some issue against spirulina.
And then it got out there because there's no research studies that show that.
And so what happens is they tell you stay away from spirulina.
You stay away from spirulina.
You don't know.
And meanwhile, that's helpful because what that does is it removes toxic heavy metals out of your body to get it away from the virus.
It's also antiviral.
You know, and so and medical medium information brought the truth out of what causes Hashimoto's.
And guess what? Check this out.
Medical medium information published the truth about Hashimoto's years ago before science and research did.
and then three years later science research said they think there's a link between Epstein-Barr
and possible thyroid conditions that was after medical medium and if you're sensitive if you're
really sensitive you know you can do a little bit of everything you do like anybody who's struggling
with anything you could start out with I talk about it in the books you could start out with
dosages really small of things like if you're taking vitamin c you could start out with a little
dose of vitamin C. If you're drinking celery juice, you could start out with a little bit
of celery juice, you know? Anyway, I got this incredible salad right here. I'm so pumped.
Just showing you guys real quick. It's a Brussels sprout salad if it just came on. And what
do I use for salad dressing, like I said before? Anyway, I'm going to be eating a little something.
It has some green beans right here. I don't have a fork. Hang on. I had a fork right here.
there's lemon on here
there's orange
you know I didn't put
honey on this
I could have put
honey on this
and I didn't
oh great
I just got a piece
of hot pepper
by itself
just
Rob Vegan says
is it okay to do
mono eating cleanse
wine anybody
I said yeah
and it's even helpful.
It's even helpful.
Is charcoal soap bad for the skin?
I don't think it's bad for the skin.
Just don't take it internally.
It irritates the gut line.
Elizabeth says,
teach us about food combining.
I do. It's in all the medical medium books.
It's just that it's the real version of it versus like the food combining guessing games that are out there.
I talk about how you can't combine.
This is one of the number one rules.
You can't combine fat with grains.
You don't want to combine fat with sugar.
That's the number one rule for food combining.
Fat with sugar is the worst.
And guess what?
The food combining people out there, unless they took it from medical medium and they're using it now, that info.
All right.
They don't know that.
And that's the number one food combining rule to live by.

2020 was different, to say the least.
We had virtual dance parties and ordered takeout fees.
But before we give 2020 last looks, hold on to those memories of photo books.
Find the good and let it fly at Shutterfly.com.
The secret to managing all of these things is not more medicine and surgery.
It's less.
It's actually within our grasp because fasting is free to every single person on earth.
I think you've got to have a dream.
The School of Greatness.
Really?
Yeah.
Please welcome to the Minnesota House.
Welcome everyone to the School of Greatness podcast.
Very excited about our guest today.
His name is Jason Fung.
Dr. Jason Fung is a physician, author, researcher, and he's got groundbreaking science with a
number of his books about diabetes, obesity, and fasting.
He's got a book called The Diabetes Code, The Obesity Code, and The Complete Guide to Fasting,
sold for millions of copies sold.
And you've got a new book out called The Cancer Code, which I'm very excited to talk about, The Cancer Code.
And I wanted to start with a question to ask you, what are the main causes of cancer?
As it seems like you hear about it more and more recently that so many people are getting cancer or the early stages of cancer.
What are the main causes of cancer?
Yeah, that's a great question.
And that's something that we've always been trying to deal with.
And sometimes some people say, well, we don't know what causes cancer.
That's sort of a cop-out because we actually do know a lot about what causes cancer.
And these are things that cause cancer are called carcinogens.
And the World Health Organization maintains a huge list of these carcinogens.
But if you want to break it down into what causes cancer in most people,
you can look at the sort of, a couple of studies have looked at the sort of percentage
contribution of these carcinogens to cancer. And the biggest one, of course, is tobacco smoke. So
that's sort of, by far and away, the biggest contributor to cancer at around 35%. And these
estimates were from 2015. So it was higher before when more people are smoking. But as a contributor
to cancer, it's the biggest. Interestingly, the second biggest and almost as big is actually our
diet. So it's a huge, huge part of what contributes to cancer in general and far outstrips of those
two are way above any other causes of cancer. So when you worry about things such as radiation or,
you know, chemicals, sunscreens, and pesticides, and stuff like that, they do cause cancer,
but the contribution in a whole population is very small. So what's interesting about diet
is that we know this from our studies, but what part of the diet actually contributes to cancer?
And that's where things sort of bogged down a lot. So initially, in the 70s, people talked about
fiber. So people thought about, oh, hey, well, you know, maybe if you eat a lot of fiber, what you're
going to do is have a lot of big bowel movements, and that's going to clean out your bowel, and
you're not going to get cancer. Turns out that wasn't true. Then the next thought was, hey,
maybe it's dietary fat. So if you remember the 80s and 90s, there's this huge movement against fat
that, you know, all fat is bad for you. It caused the heart disease and all this sort of stuff,
much of which has sort of been overturned at this point.
But there's this thought, maybe it causes cancer too.
It turns out that wasn't true either.
Then people talked about vitamins.
So maybe cancer is like a vitamin deficiency.
So we did many, many studies, millions of dollars, decades of research,
where we would randomize people to, say, one group that took a certain vitamin
and one group that didn't and see if there's any difference in cancer.
So we tested vitamin A. It didn't work.
Vitamin D, B didn't work. Folic acid didn't work. Vitamin C didn't work. Vitamin D didn't work.
Vitamin E didn't work. Selenium didn't work. Omega-3 fatty acids didn't work. So all of those
supplements didn't actually make any difference to the incidence of cancer. And so we're sort of
stuck at that point in the mid-2000s saying, oh, no, it's the diet, but what part of the diet?
And that's when it became sort of more and more clear that this cancer is actually an obesity-related disease.
So what happened, of course, is that in the 70s, 80s, and 90s, people didn't really think about it.
But then we had this obesity epidemic, so it became a bigger and bigger problem.
So obesity in 2003, when they started to look at the studies, that was the first really definitive studies that said,
hey, obesity is actually a huge risk factor, as well as type 2 diabetes.
And both of those conditions will actually increase your risk of certain types of cancer along.
So it really depends on what type of cancer you're talking about.
If you're talking lung cancer, obesity plays almost no role in it, right?
That's smoking.
Or if you have asbestos, which causes mesothelioma, which is the cancer of the lining of the lung,
again, obesity plays no role.
But things like breast cancer and colorectal cancer, which are sort of really important cancers,
they actually are obesity-related cancers.
So that was the sort of big link.
And at this point, the World Health Organization considers 13 different types of cancer as obesity-related cancers,
which is huge because from 2003, we didn't even know.
Like when I went to medical school, nobody thought obesity caused cancer.
It's almost as big as smoking.
It's a huge, huge thing.
So therefore, if you know that, that's super powerful because if you can maintain a normal weight, you're going to reduce, just like stopping smoking, right?
You're going to reduce your risk of these types of cancer.
But aren't there a lot of healthy people out there or non-obese people that also get cancer?
Absolutely, because there's a lot of different things that go on.
And that's what I spend the first half of the book talking about is how the sort of cancers develop.
So it's not just about obesity.
just like you can smoke forever and not get lung cancer, but it raises your risk.
What are the other factors?
Say there's people out there that are super healthy, they're working out, they're eating well, but then they get cancer.
They're under 15% body fat, 12% body fat.
What are those other factors of people getting cancer?
The rest of it we actually know very little about.
So we need to know more about those because certain things, so smoking and diet are probably your...
